Nexis Uni (formerly LexisNexis Academic)

The Armacost Library recently learned that LexisNexis Academic would be replaced with a new product titled Nexis Uni at the end of the year. While access to LexisNexis/Nexis Uni will be maintained through the transition, the various routes to LexisNexis/Nexis Uni will be implemented in stages.

In other words, to access Nexis Uni in January, you may need to go directly to the Nexis Uni database link. You may do this by going to the Library's List of Databases or clicking on a Nexis Uni database link provided in one of our research guides. 

Take a sneak peak at Nexis Uni and you'll find a search interface that offers options seen in our more user-friendly databases. 

  

Something new that might come in handy is the "Negative News" feature. It's purpose seems to be helping users find negative press coverage on a topic. When language is identified as negative by Nexis Uni, that search result is included in a Negative News category.
